Alpendorf, Austria, January 2005

A self drive trip to St. Johann in Pongau/Alpendorf, approximately 50kms south of Salzburg. Driving down on Saturday 29th January, returning the following Saturday (5th Feb). Price includes 7 nights accommodation with breakfast, 6 day lift pass and 6 days of ski/snowboard lessons (4 hours a day) with the Red-White-Red Skischool. The lessons are for all standards of skiing/snowboarding, from first time beginner to those who consider themselves experts. You are never too good to learn! ! The Skischool's promise is that you will leave at the end of the week, a better skier than when you arrived.

Families are also welcome, as the Skischool starts teaching children from about the age of 4 years old. The price is less for children (as they don't pay as much for the lift pass).

Skis/boots/board hire is available through the Skischool at a discounted rate. Prices available from me.

Lessons are from 10.00 - 12.00 and 13.00 - 15.00. You then have about one and a half hours of free skiing before the lifts start closing.

Apres-ski normally starts around 16.30 at the bottom of the mountain in the infamous TENNE bar. Very loud and wild ! ! !

The Alpendorf ski area is linked to many others, giving access to over 3 60kms of skiing. The biggest ski area in Austria covered by one lift pass. Information can be found at www.alpendorf.com www.rot-weiss-rot.at

Cost is €399 for Ski Club internal members and €435 for external members.

€100 deposit required by 14th December.
