A five hour drive away, the Portes du Soleil ski area at the heart of the Alps offers unspoilt surroundings, over 200 mountain lifts amid snowbound forests and 286 pistes for skiers of all levels (32 black, 101 red, 119 blue, 34 green). Portes du Soleil comprises 12 different ski regions, including Avoriaz, the self-proclaimed capital of snowboarding. Night ski is available on Saturday (until 19:00).

The hotel is walking distance (800 m) to the centre of town and the main ski cabin, and there is also a free ski-bus right in front of the hotel to save you the 5-10 min walk.
