The Skiing

Amidst the Silvretta and Verwall mountains, the resort sits enthroned – at 2,872 metres of elevation – above the town of the same name, Ischgl, in the Paznaun. Together with the Swiss town Samnaun, in the Canton of Grisons, it forms the Silvretta Arena. This makes it the third-biggest ski resort in Tyrol in Austria.

The resorts offers you 239 km of perfectly groomed slopes, and one-of-a-kind freerides and ski tours. After an enjoyable day of skiing, you will have the opportunity to take the 11-kilometers-long run to descend from an altitude of 2872 m directly to the town of Ischgl. Either if you decide to face this last challenge of the day, or take the gondola down, there will be innumerable après-ski options waiting for you in the town. Nothing better than a well-deserved drink to recover after an exhausting skiing day. After that the bus will take us back to the hotel, where we can enjoy some time in the sauna and swimming pool right before dinner.

Accommodation

We will again be staying in the cosy Mallaun hotel, which is located in the small town of See, just some kilometers away from Ischgl (http://www.hotel-mallaun.at). The hotel includes an outstanding spa area, with saunas and indoor swimming pool. 

Breakfast (Fri, Sat, Sun) and dinner (Fri, Sat) are included in the hotel.

Every morning, except Sunday, our bus takes us to the ski lift in Ischgl. For the later risers and party-goers there is also a regular ski bus service, covered by the ski passes.

Getting There

The bus will depart from EUMETSAT at 15:45 and from ESOC at 16:00. We will arrive in Ischgl on Thursday night. On Sunday, we leave the slopes, pass by the hotel to take a quick shower, and drive back to Darmstadt.
